The CWT is now looking to appoint a new Manager City Operations. As a proven leader with experience contributing at a senior management level, you will demonstrate sound commercial and political acumen. Collaboration between stakeholder groups and strong customer orientation skills are essential. You will also bring your excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with high emotional intelligence and integrity.
This role will oversee and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering essential services and projects for CWT, including civil works and services, horticulture and arboriculture, and the management of the fleet, mechanical workshop, city cleaning, and stores. You will create a workplace culture that embodies the Council’s vision, guiding principles, and values. You will manage staff and contract resources to deliver a wide range of services supporting the community, providing expert advice on diverse and complex strategic and operational activities. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the council's works and maintenance programs, evaluating current and future organisational needs whilst ensuring best practice delivery of services.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field and experience in a leadership role within local government are critical. Current National Police Clearance, driver’s licence and white card (or willingness to obtain) are also essential.
