Maxima, in partnership with our Host Employers, are seeking committed individuals who love a challenge to undertake a hands-on Apprenticeship in Civil Construction Plant Operations.

This 3-year opportunity will see you working fulltime gaining practical, industry experience, whilst receiving paid study towards a Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations. Our Host Employers service the broader metropolitan areas of Adelaide and will require you to travel between sites.

Gain the skills to work on major and minor projects with this comprehensive apprenticeship. Day-to-day work alongside a range of machinery and make your mark by constructing and updating South Australia’s local infrastructure. Duties Include:

·         Site preparation and excavation

·         Level bases and surface materials

·         Concrete and bitumen work

·         Lay water pipes and drainage structures

·         Install safety barriers and traffic management

·         Operate plant machinery and use power tools

·         Manual labouring

·         Read construction blueprints

About You:

·         Thrives on working outdoors

·         Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative

·         Strong track record of being punctual, reliable, and hardworking

·         Physically fit and able to move repetitively

·         Strong verbal communication skills

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Role Requirements:

·         Current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle

·         Must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment

·         Previous labouring or construction-based experience (advantageous)
