The government has announced a 3 billion power price relief package in December which will include a one- off power bill discounts and subsides for low-income households who move from gas to electricity. 

Tabaco tax will be increased once again, tobacco companies will have to pay an additional $3.3 billion in tax in the next four years with the intention of hiking Cigarette prices and hopefully decreasing the amount of Australians smoking. Not only cigarettes but vapes will also be hit with plain packaging laws and harsh law crackdown. 

Young carers will have a cash boost of $768, people between the age of 12 to 25 who care for a loved one will get a one-off cash boost so they can continue their education. Medicine and Scripts will be cheaper for an estimated 6 million Australians, they will be able to buy twice the amount of common medicines for the price of one script under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme 

Extra Flood Relief for QLD and WA has been promised. Due to the recent floor events in the Guld of Carpentaria and the Kimberly, Albanese government has promised a further $4.4 million into 83 emergency and flood relief providers.

Previous governments infrastructure projects could be potentially scrapped due to a new 90-day review commissioned by the Albanese Government. Long covid also getting more money for research with the Medical Research Future Fund will receive $50 million to investigate the long term effects of long covid.

Pesky SMS scammers are getting out of control and luckily the government agrees, $10 million will be allocated to launch into the country’s first SMS sender ID registry which will help prevent scammers from impersonating Government brand names in text messages.
