The bold and iconic blue building on South Road in Edwardstown has been looking a little tired lately and has been selected by a new local company to participate in its new initiative.

Edwardstown company The Paint & Render Co. reached out and offered their services to the company as a part of their new initiative “Paint it Forward.”

The Paint & Render Co. will be donating their time and labour for free alongside Wattyl who will be donating 90L of paint to support the project.

Director of The Paint & Render Co., D’Artagnan MacDonald, says he “wholeheartedly” believed in the Sammy D Foundation’s purpose to end violence by connecting and empowering young people.

“This makeover will provide some love, character and attention to the exterior of Sammy D building and ensure their resources are utilised where they are needed most, encouraging and empowering our youth to be the best version of themselves each and every day,” MacDonald said.

Region Manager of Wattyl Australia, Wayne Richardson says the company is an enthusiastic supporter of the Sammy D Foundation.

“The role the Sammy D Foundation plays in the education of young people on the impact of bullying and drug and alcohol-fuelled violence is literally lifesaving,” Richardson said.
